STS affects in different career paths

Engineering, put basically, is the use of science to make better technology, or vice versa.  Mechanical engineering is the study and use of science and technology on various mechanical systems, while nuclear engineering focuses more on the science and technology of nuclear systems such as nuclear reactors and the nuclear reactions that happen in said reactors. Another indication of science and technology in part with engineering is the courses one has to take in order to become a mechanical engineer.  The courses include a multitude of science and math classes such as chemistry, physics, calculus, etc.To be open-minded about how science and technology is part of a engineer career path, science and technology is everywhere and it affects everybody's life in one way or another.  The effect of science and technology on someone's life can affect their career path directly or indirectly.  Directly through the use of science and technology in said person's life, or indirectly by acting as a tool in which that person finds his or her career from that tool.  It  affects  by piquing  interest in technology and throughout upbringing.
STS prepares us to understand both the technical and social dimensions of science and technology, helps them become more thoughtful and better-informed citizens of our high-tech society and develops our critical interdisciplinary thinking, research and communication skills.STS prepares us for careers that address the broader social, cultural and political ramifications of science, technology and medicine such as law, journalism, public policy and economics.
